The majority of inmates released from prison are facing deportation from the country and cannot afford to pay for their ticket home for themselves and in some cases for their family. The prison welfare committee assess the financial and personal situation of each inmate and recommend cases for support and upon their release for the inmate and their family. It is the aim of Faraj Fund to minimise the financial burden upon release and to avoid new financial pressure after the resolution of their debts.
