Lieutenant General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior honored several bodies and institutions from the public and private sectors, as well as donors and supporters of the "Faraj Fund" under the Ministry of Interior, acclaiming their humanitarian work in providing aid and assistance to inmates of penal and correctional institutions and their families throughout the country.
His Highness also witnessed the ceremony held at the Emirates Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, the launch of the fund's new media identity, logo and its new website, following the vision of modernization, development, and upgrading of the fund's services to facilitate its provisioners in line with the humanitarian goals and competencies entrusted to the fund playing its vital role in the society.
His Highness awarded a community service medal and certificate of appreciation to the major donors of Faraj Fund in appreciation of their efforts in releasing several inmates and bringing joy and happiness to their families. This falls under the Fund's objectives of unity in fraternity, compassion, and tolerance while enhancing the spirit of cooperation and community solidarity.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Zayed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Director of the President's Representative Office in the Al Ain Region, Sheikh Ahmed Obaid Thani Al Maktoum, Hon. Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Advisor to His Highness, the President of the State, Hon. Suhail Mohammed bin Faraj Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy, Dr. Muhammad Matar Al Kaabi, Director of the Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Authority, and His Excellency Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh Al-Shaibani, Director of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charity Activities in Dubai, H.E Salem Al-Amiri, Deputy Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent, H.E Counsellor Ibrahim Mohammed Bumelha, Advisor to the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, H.E Abdul-Jalil Abdul Rahman Al-Balooki, and H.E Yahya Lootah from the Board of Directors of the Dubai Islamic Bank, H.E Juma bin Khalifa Al Naboodah, H.E Hamad bin Ghanem bin Hamouda Al Dhaheri, representing the sons of the late Ghanem bin Hamouda, H.E Faraj bin Hamouda Al Dhaheri, H.E Mohammed Ali Al Ansari, the entrepreneur, CEOs and heads of several charities, companies and honorable institutions, as well as members of the Board of Directors of Faraj Fund, accompanied by guests and officers of the Ministry of Interior.
The management at Faraj fund launched the fund’s new media identity and logo, which encapsulates the renewal and enhancement of its media vision to support the achievement of its objectives and the accomplishment of the Fund’s basic principles concerning its development vision, working in line with the UAE government's strategy to deliver Smart solutions and adopt digital transformation in providing services according to the highest international standards and practices
The new website reinforces the digital presence of the Faraj Fund and enhances the experience of browsing providing ease of access to smart services in both Arabic and English. The website reflects the concept of modern design, as it combines elements of image and video, precise tabulation of contents, and facilitates requesting services electronically. The website is intelligible and interactive to donors and other users through interactive screens that ensure the ability to add comments, notes, and personal messages when submitting or requesting service or submitting comments and suggestions.
His Excellency Khalil Daoud Badran, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Faraj Fund of the Ministry of Interior, expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the supporters of the Fund's community initiatives, including companies, banks, and individuals, stressing the keenness to make the Fund's work successful and achieve its societal goals by developing services and enhancing its functions by following the best international standards through expanding partnerships, continuous coordination with the concerned authorities, developing the quality of services provided, and achieving the highest levels of community satisfaction and happiness.
He added that the Fund's message to society requires strengthening our electronic presence through an integrated platform for interactive community communication, providing information, and facilitating the requests for our charity services.
